2 | cups | (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese, divided | |

1 | jar | (16 ounce) salsa | |

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
In a saucepan mix beans, chilies, onion, garlic powder and 1/2 cup of cheese. Heat (being careful not to scorch) until beans are hot and cheese is melted. Pour into a 1- quart casserole dish.
Pour salsa over top and using a spoon, slightly press salsa into the beans. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.
